There is no greater joy than to see new people join us in worship.  In our church family you will meet people who are laborers, clerks, teachers, business owners, police officers, doctors,  dentists, journalists, housewives, delivery people, physical therapists, students, government workers, accountants, nurses, receptionists, social workers, grocers, appraisers, adjusters, funeral directors, farmers, hospital workers, bankers, and retirees of all sorts.  You will meet people who are servants of Jesus Christ, who want to exhibit the Kingdom of Heaven in their life together, and who desire to impact their community and the world with the love of God.  Our desire is to make you welcome as you discern if we are the people with whom God is calling you to walk alongside in your service to Jesus Christ.

Schedule a Visit

No appointment is necessary to attend any of our events.  If you would like to visit the church during the week and/or meet our pastor you may call our church office at 618-498-5423 Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. until 1 p..m.  You can also schedule lunch with a member of our church to learn more about what we do here.  Our Welcoming Team will strive to pair you with a member who may share your interests.

Worship Location and Times

We worship every Sunday at 10 a.m. in our historic 1882 sanctuary in Jerseyville, Illinois. You may park in our parking lot behind Paul Hardin’s office for any event. You may park on the St. Francis School playground behind our church for Sunday services.

Membership Information

If you are interested in becoming a member of First Presbyterian, you may speak to our pastor or any to one of our worship greeters.  We will invite you to a class to learn about us and Presbyterians and then schedule a time for you to meet with our Session.  You may become a member by profession of faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and baptism, by reaffirmation of faith if you have been baptized, or by transfer of membership from another Christian church.

Virtual Tour

We invite you to explore our facilities via an online virtual tour.  All levels of our building are fully accessible thanks to a lift at our East office entrance.  Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on our ground floor. Click here for the tour.
