HistorySince 1834, before there was a town named Jerseyville, there was a Presbyterian presence in the community. First they met in homes, then a schoolhouse, later a wooden building, and now in a beautiful stone church. Since 1841 we have occupied the site at the corner of State and Carpenter streets - the crossroads of Jersey County - and have stood firm in our faith, seeking to serve the One Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We celebrate the spirit of those who have gone before us and dedicate ourselves to the LORD seeking to pass on to others the love of Christ that passes all human understanding. |
